Embarking on an Internship Journey with MSIB as Sanata Dharma University Students

Youth is a period of boundless curiosity, a time when we eagerly seek answers to the questions that ignite our minds. At Sanata Dharma University, students are
empowered to flourish into well-rounded individuals by embracing opportunities that shape their futures. We, Hilaria Nindi Dwipuspa Anggraini and Yosephine Flowrina Sumitro, were feeling lucky to be part of ELESP of Sanata Dharma University because we could join an event namely Magang dan Studi Independen Bersertifikat (MSIB).MSIB, a collaborative initiative between the government and various companies, offers Indonesian students a unique opportunity to delve into the professional world and enhance their educational journey. This internship program also aligns with students' passions, majors, and talents, fostering a pathway toward a fulfilling career.

We were accepted as interns at a company called PT Sebangku Jaya Abadi. Since 2017, Sebangku Games has been trusted as a board game industry for various agencies and has been involved in more than five collaborations with the government. PT Sebangku Jaya Abadi is a company engaged in Educational Technology focusing on learning media that are safe, comfortable, and fun for children. The most important thing was that we knew educational technology could present Indonesia's cultural identity and highlight character education. To establish a digital environment, PT Sebagku Jaya Abadi uses gamification, such as board games, by combining AR (Augmented Reality) & VR (Virtual Reality) technology.

Getting to know how Sebangku Games worked was only the beginning of our journey. We also worked on internship projects consisting of Sebangku Games project, MARICA project, and the Marica Academy project.

During our internship at PT Sebangku Jaya Abadi, we worked on various projects that were divided into 3 scopes of activities, namely MARICA, Marica Academy, and Sebangku Games. In MARICA activities, we worked on projects such as writing encyclopedia book content, pocketbooks, brochure content, CSR proposals, activity kit scripts, translating encyclopedia books, writing website content, and generating SEO for the MARICA website. In Sebangku Games activities, activities related to writing for game needs such as video tutorial board game scripts, trailer video scripts, and game scripts, especially Marica Maze, Marica Escape, and Marica Olympics as well as board games sell sheets. In the Marica Academy activity, we created website content and SEO for the Marica Academy website. We also gained experience and learned through
workshop activities on story-based learning by Mr. Rizky, M.Kom, as Director of PT Sebangku Jaya Abadi.

On October 8, 2023, we visited the Awicarita Festival at Langgeng Art Foundation, Yogyakarta, to help promote the "Sehari Bersama Ayah" event and sell activity kit products such as Paper Pipit Bird and 3D Tiger Mask as well as books produced by the company. In addition, we also organized MARICA's event project "A Day with Dad". In the event, we participated as a sponsorship team and event team, designing activity kit products and challenges called Rocket Dad, Robot Dad Hand, Inflatable Balloon Car, and Stick Dad's Face. During the event, we were also in charge of guarding the stand to sell board game products from PT Sebangku Jaya Abadi.

Interning as a copywriter is very memorable. Not only the knowledge and new relationships gained in this place. However, we also learned life values such as discipline, respect for others, responsibility, punctuality, selflessness, and enthusiasm to face challenges. We also earned the privilege to participate in a copywriting workshop from the Digital Talent Scholarship 2023, offered by the Digital Entrepreneurship Academy in collaboration with Gojek. By attending the workshop, we became more aware of the basics of learning about copywriting which was taught directly for 4 hours by Gojek. We learned how to create interesting writing for prospective buyers, writing that can affect the psychology of readers and others. At the end of the activity, we took an understanding test about copywriting and finally received a training certificate. So, joining this internship program provides a variety of experiences and opportunities for learning. This internship can also be a great foundation to prepare for your future career!
