After joining SMS ACUCA as an exchange student for a semester, I really learn a lot from living in a global community. Not only I learned a lot about Korea through the lessons I took, but I also learned and grew to have a better tolerance and understanding of diversity on a global scale. I can proudly say that this program really changed me to appreciate and respect the differences between cultures and countries. This program is a perfect fit for the students who are eager to learn and can adapt well to the global environment.

Konkuk Winter Program did not only give an opportunity to gain knowledge about Korean language & culture, and foreigner friends, but also helped me to improve my skills in cross-cultural communication, hospitality, guiding, and many else. This exchange program gave me a wonderful experience to learn the Korean language and culture directly by visiting Konkuk University, South Korea for two weeks. It also gave an experience to the students who follow this program to guide Korean students to learn the Indonesian language and culture.

In my whole life, I have never really enjoyed teaching, until I got the chance to go to Chiang Rai, Thailand, for my teaching practice through the International Teaching Practice program. It was the only moment in my life which can make me say “wow, teaching is fun!”. Teaching in Xavier Learning Community and Ban Tab Humantong Elementary School is probably the best two weeks of my teaching life. But not just my views on teaching that was changed, the whole experience itself changed my whole life.

Participating in Service Learning Program (SLP) 2019 offered me such an eye-opening experience. Not only was I able to expand my international connections, I was also given opportunities to engage with the locals of the Philippines through the immersion in Talaandig Community, Mindanao. The activities were notable as the committees provided us knowledges and information related to the theme. This experience is definitely unforgettable that I would love to recommend all fellow students to join SLP.

Having the opportunity to participate in HAN-SDU Exchange Program was a life-changing experience. It is not only about how I received the remarkable knowledge and beneficial teaching skills, but this program also helps me to be aware of what the other parts of the world are doing as well as how to contribute as a global citizen. This 3-month program brings a significant impact on my career as I expand my connection with people from around the world and receive an acknowledgment from companies for having a chance to develop my interpersonal skill.

Joining ELT practicum in Myanmar gave us opportunity to learn TESOL. We felt the challenges in teaching the local people there and we embraced ourselves to deal with the challenges. Myanmar not only gave us an academic impression but also gave us multiculturalism nuance. We got an opportunity to feel the "love message" from multiculturalism which could be reflected on daily basis. Personally, the experiences in Myanmar enlighten me as an educator to have cura personalis in teaching.

Being one of the participants of the summer program in Beijing gives me opportunities to learn more about Chinese culture. I had a chance to learn basic Mandarin language and also went to the Beijing historical places. The advantages I got are also very beneficial for my current life, that I could be more tolerant towards new people. This good behavior can be obtained because people accepted me very well. For me, these experiences and positive effects are a timeless lesson which I can only get from joining the summer in Beijing program.

Service Learning Program (SLP) is one of the international programs in Sanata Dharma University that made my dream came true which was going abroad. After joining this program, I got a lot of benefits until now. First of all, I can speak in English fluently and confidently. Second of all, I got many international friends who are very nice. Last but not least, I learned to be grateful just like my foster family who are Person with Diffabilities (PwDs) but they keep living their life without complaining about their disabilities.

International Summer School 2019 was such a memorable experience. I got a lot of friends from around the world and I could be there to explore, to learn the culture, and also to improve my language skill. I've learned how to interact with people who have different culture from mine. I learned how to respect each other. I also learned how to gain meaningful relations. I also learn how to be independent. Everything seemed strange yet still amazed me. I'm very grateful that I could join this international summer school program.
