Collaborative Initiation Meeting between SDU and Yuanpei University of Medical Technology

Sanata Dharma University is again accepting collaboration programs from universities abroad. The university is Yuanpei University of Medical Technology in Taiwan. This collaboration program is planned to take several forms, such as joint classes, joint research, internships, exchange students, or Double Degree programs.

The collaboration between the two universities was begun with an online meeting via Google Meet on Thursday 27 May 2021. From Sanata Dharma University the meeting was attended by Mr. F. X. Ouda Teda Ena, Ed.D. as Deputy Chancellor 4 for Collaboration, Ms. Dr. apt. Yustina Sri Hartini as Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ms. Dr. apt. Dewi Setyaningsih as Deputy Dean of Pharmacy, Ms. Dr. apt. Christine Patramurti as the Head of the Pharmacy Study Program, Ms. apt. Aris Widayati, M.Sc., PhD. as the Head of the Pharmacy Masters Program, and Ms. Yurisdixta Menavia, S.S. as the Head of the International Office. Meanwhile from Taiwan’s Yuanpei University, the meeting was attended by Dr. Hsiao-Ling Huang as Dean of International Office, Ms. Celine Tien as Director of International Office, Ms. Yoyo Chen as International Office Project Manager, and Ms. Viola Wu as Chinese Language Learning Center Project Manager.

The meeting was opened and moderated by Ms. Siska Aprilianti as a representative of Yuanpei University. After the opening, it was followed by an introductory and presentation session about the undergraduate and master program majors at Yuanpei University. There are three departments at Yuanpei University, namely the College of Medical Technology and Nursing, the College of Health Sciences, and the College of Well-Being Industry. The College of Medical Technology and Nursing has 5 undergraduate and postgraduate study programs, and 3 undergraduate study programs. The College of Health Sciences has 3 undergraduate and postgraduate study programs and 2 undergraduate study programs. The College of Well-Being Industry has 2 undergraduate and postgraduate study programs and 4 undergraduate study programs. Then, Yuanpei also delivered a presentation about the programs of the Chinese Language Learning Center.

The event was continued with a presentation about Sanata Dharma University from Mr. Ouda Teda Ena and a presentation on the Faculty of Pharmacy by Ms. Dewi Setyaningsih. After that, discussions were held to obtain deeper information from each university. The discussion went well and the two universities showed a positive response to this collaboration program. As a follow-up to the meeting between SDU and Yuanpei University, a follow-up meeting will be held which is expected to produce a more concrete collaboration program.
